Hi friends. This summer I am digging into a new project which I hope to tell you more about soon, but in the meantime, I thought it was a good time to bring back a summer series on contemplation which might be helpful for you. Originally aired in 2022, this ten-part Raised Catholic podcast series explores contemplation with a variety of methods: contemplating with music, art, scripture, nature and story. We’ll contemplate inside and outside of church walls, explore tactile prayer and more, and as I model each kind of contemplation for you, I hope you’ll find your own unique experience in a way that is fruitful for you in your communion and walk with God.
This week on the Raised Catholic podcast, we’re contemplating in nature, and there is no shortage of subjects from which to choose. A patch of sky, a blade of grass, the beach, a sunrise, a flower, or even a fruit or vegetable can offer material on which to contemplate. Every summer day will offer an abundance of contemplation subjects if we simply look around where we are.
Listen to Raised Catholic episode 185: Summer of Contemplation Week Three: Contemplating Nature on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts (or read the transcript), and then come on back here to the comments to let me know what aspect of nature you chose to contemplate this week. I hope to see you there!
