This week on the Raised Catholic podcast, I’m bringing back an episode from September of 2021 all about the value and impact of retreats. In a culture that emphasizes progress and busy-ness, taking time away for a retreat can seem counter-intuitive to moving forward on our paths, but I can say from experience (including this past weekend as I was away on a cursillo retreat), that the investment of time in a retreat can bear such beautiful fruit: clarity, energy, perspective and the knowledge of just how much we are seen, known and loved.
This weekend I left a few burdens behind at the retreat house and in their place, God gave me some epiphanies to take home with me. I’ll be talking more about what I gained this weekend in future episodes, but while I process all that God had to reveal to me there, I wish you peace, wisdom and clarity in whatever place you can find it this week.
God is so good. You are so loved.
