This week on the Raised Catholic podcast, I’m speaking about how music ministers. Though I am a music minister and have been one for many years, today I’m using ‘minister’ as a verb in that music helps. Music is therapeutic, it reaches us in ways nothing else can, and so in today’s episode we consider music as a divine conduit through which our loving and Almighty God can break through to be with us, guide, console and encourage us.
Whether by singing, listening, dancing or praying, the experience of music has been a divine vessel in every part of the world since time began. The only universal language. And if we can start to be intentional about using music, or opening ourselves up to God using music within and around us, we just might find a wellspring of grace that we didn’t really expect.
Listen to Raised Catholic ep. 165: Music Ministers on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts (or read the transcript) and then let’s meet back here to hear your church music ministry stories (for better or worse!), and any songs or experiences you have had where you felt God speak to your heart through that mysterious conduit of music. You know I’d love to hear all about it!
