This week on the Raised Catholic podcast, I’m sharing five takeaways from the Gospel reading from the 5th week of Lent. The story of the raising of Lazarus contains so much more than the miracle of death from life - it’s about our human response to challenge and death, about the nature of friendship, and about how we can count on Jesus to be the only friend we know who is in the past, the present and the future all at once.
There’s a lot there.
The raising of Lazarus set the stage for the Passion of Jesus, and similarly it can set us up to walk with Jesus through this Holy Week in a way that helps us understand Him and what He did, and even ourselves a bit better.
Listen to Raised Catholic episode 169: Lessons from Lazarus on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts (or read the transcript) and then come on back here to share your experience of Holy Week with us in the comments.
I am praying it will be a blessed time for you as you open your heart, eyes, ears, mind and spirit to the story that changes everything. God bless you and yours this week.
