This week on the Raised Catholic podcast, we’re using an overgrown and neglected part of my yard (and all the work I’m doing on it this year) as a metaphor for what can happen in our ministry and faith lives. Some areas of the garden might need more feeding or watering, others might require pruning, but it can be the most fruitful parts of the yard that need the most work. Things can grow up in the center of the plant or choke out the more colorful parts of the garden over time without our even knowing what has happened. If you’ve been in ministry as long as I have, you might have some idea of what I mean.
Listen to Raised Catholic episode 172: My Ministry Garden on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts (or read the transcript), and then let’s talk all about ministry and gardens over in the comments. I hope to see you there!
